Welcome!
Phoenix Day has been serving the community for over 90 years. We welcome you to explore our website and learn more about Arizona’s oldest early education and childcare center.
What We Do
Phoenix Day serves more than 3,500 children, families and community members annually through high-quality early education and health services. The majority of our clients are low-income area residents, often single mothers, struggling to make ends meet.
By offering subsidized childcare and early education programs, as well as free health screenings, referrals and meals, Phoenix Day helps families better meet the challenges of daily life.
Our programs include:
• Early Education and Childcare. Open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and serves children from 6 weeks of age to 5 years. Full-time care is provided in order to meet the scheduling needs of parents who work various hours and days.
• Food and Nutrition. This federally funded program helps us deliver free hot breakfast, lunch and snacks each year to our children. Phoenix Day also serves as a community distribution center for food boxes to eligible children and the elderly.
• Bilingual Case Management. Meets the special needs of non-English speaking families through on-site support services and referral to community agencies for financial, employment, legal and housing assistance, along with crisis counseling and intervention.
